Lip seals
The geometry of the lip seals was developed in the middle of the 20th century and has since been used primarily as a door seal for vacuum applications.
The special geometry of the lip seal has created a so-called contact pressure aid that can also compensate for slight geometric unevenness.
As soon as negative pressure is generated inside a chamber, the external pressure additionally presses the chamber door, the contact pressure of the chamber door acts on the lip of the seal and additionally seals the chamber.
